Just What is CJIS Operational Protection Services C.O.P.S.
What we do
We're a company owned by former law enforcement personnel, doing our part to help law enforcement agencies manage their Criminal Justice Information (CJI) and stay in compliance with the CJIS Security Policy, formerly the CSP, now called CJISSECPOL (pronounced CJIS SEC-POL).
The company owner started in law enforcement in 1981 and served as the Information Security Officer (ISO) for Nebraska State Patrol for 14 years, conducting FBI mandated technical and security audits of Nebraska law enforcement agencies and helping them to achieve and stay in compliance.
Our staff has over 50 years of law enforcement experience and we can help you protect your CJIS operational data, by helping you comply with the CJISSECPOL and the CJIS compliance audit.
There are over 600 "SHALL" statements in the CJISSECPOL. That's a lot to keep track of, a lot to manage and a lot to understand.
